For Memorial Day this year, we made a trip up the Big Horns for the day. We usually go out in the boat for a ride with a bunch of friends and their boats, but bad weather was in the forecast, so we decided not to try it this year. It ended up raining most of the day, so it was a good thing we changed our plans.
It rained the entire drive up the mountains and we were skeptical that we would see any animals, but we ended up seeing quite a few. We saw probably a dozen moose, an elk, and a bunch of deer. We had lunch at Bear Lodge and then made our way back down the mountain. It was a good day spent as a family!

The clouds were really low.
We spotted like 7 moose all in one area. If you look hard enough, you can find 4 of them in this picture.

Carson was the first one to spot any animals on the trip so he got to pick out a piece of pie for dessert after lunch.
On our way back down the mountain after lunch, there was a momma and baby moose just off the road. We sat in the truck and watched them until they decided to take off. It was fun to watch them jump the fence.
