Bowling Party

Today, Carson finally got to cash in on my promise to him to have a party. We had discussed having a friend party after his birthday at the beginning of the month, but with all the holiday stuff going on, we just never got around to it. He would ask occasionally when he was going to get to have his party and we finally decided that during his Christmas break, he would get to invited a few friends to go bowling and have pizza in place of a friend party. Today was finally that day! Carson and Travis each got to invite a few friends to bowl with us and have pizza! We were the only ones there most of the time, so they turned off the lights and turned on the cosmic bowling lights and music. The best part was that they wished him happy birthday over the bowling alley radio! It was fun to get to watch the boys with their friends!

Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. Christmas Eve, we had a late lunch/early dinner with Christian's family. We had the usual yummy gnocchi dinner. This year we were really able to get the gnocchies made quickly and they tasted extra yummy this year! After dinner, all the other married families headed to their in-laws for the evening. We didn't have anything planned with the Foulger side this year, so we were able to visit with grandma and grandpa Asay for a bit and then were able to just go home and enjoy the rest of our evening. The boys were begging to go home so they could open their one present (pj's) they get to open on Christmas eve!

The boys were dressed in their new pajamas and ready for bed at like 6:00 Christmas eve. They weren't excited at all for Christmas! We watched some tv for a bit and then put the boys down to bed right before 8. Christian and I were even in bed shortly after 9! It was an early night for all!!

Christmas day, the boys were up around 7:30 and we woke up to a white Christmas! They were super excited to see what Santa had brought them. We started opening gifts around 8. They boys seemed to really like what they got...they must have been good kids this year!

The boys after they distributed all the gifts and ready to begin the opening.

Travis really like the Avenger costumes he got from Santa.

and the  4 wheeler. Landon also really loved it too! We actually had to set it outside because he kept getting on it and taking off!

Carson finally got a new hooded towel. The one he had been using was one he got when he was a baby and let's just say that it was a bit too small!

All Landon really cared about, after we took the 4 wheeler away, was his new toothbrush and the candy from his stocking!

Landon and his tractor.

A football jersey...just what Carson asked for! Actually, he was supposed to get a jersey and helmet but they ended up cancelling our order because they were out of stock, so this was plan b.

We woke up to a white Christmas! Travis couldn't wait to try out his new 4 wheeler outside. The deck was a bit icy so he just spun out a lot.
Thit picture totally cracks me up! After all the presents were opened, I found Travis trying out their new skies with is hulk costume on a his Nebraska football helmet he got!

After breakfast, we made our way to Grandpa and Grandma Asay's house where we got to skype with uncle Jared who is serving a mission for our church in Africa! It was so fun to get to see and hear him even though the connection wasn't great. How blessed we are to have such great technology! We are excited to see him in around 3 weeks when he will be home!

Jared's birthday is today so we all got together right before we had to say goodbye and sand him happy birthday!

After lunch, we got to open gifts. It was crazy having everyone opening presents, but lots of fun! We got some really nice gifts.
Carson and Travis got some really cool remote control cars from grandpa and grandma Asay.
After the festivities in Lovell were done, we made our way to Powell for dinner and Christmas with the Foulger side. We opened gifts first and had some finger foods and enjoyed dinner later.

Travis was sure excited about a new gun! Now we can throw away all the duct taped guns that we have laying around the house!

Carson got a bunch of nintendo ds games to go with the DS he got from Santa.

Landon had TONS of fun on his new rocking horse. He and rocked on it for quite a while last night.

Uncle Jason and Cassie gave the boys their very own duck calls. There has been a lot of duck sounds in the house ever since!

Gingerbread houses

The boys got to wear their new Christmas ties to church today. Since we have 8:00 am church, we didn't have time to take pictures before church. By the time we got home, Landon didn't want anything to do with having pictures taken. These are the two best ones I could get!
Landon cracks me up in this picture!!

After lunch today, and before the boys went down for naps, Carson and Travis built some gingerbread (actually they were graham cracker) houses. They did a really good job of decorating them all on their own.

Christmas Program 2012

Last night was Carson's second Christmas program. This event is always looked forward, and dread at the same time! It's always so fun to watch the kids perform their songs but getting in line at 6:20 in order to get a seat at a program that starts at 7:00 is a little crazy, but I learned that you have to do it after last year when we just about didn't get any seats because we showed up at 6:45! The line outside the building was down to the corner...crazy I tell you! Carson looked awful handsome and did a great job on his speaking part. We practiced it a few times before he had to be there to make sure that he said it slow, clearly and with a little expression! Good job, Carson on a great program!
All dressed up before the program.

Of coarse the other two wanted to be in a picture!

Singing away!

Waiting to say his part.

Saying "What do you mean?"
