Pumpkin carving

Saturday evening, the boys decided it was time to carve their pumpkins. We brought them in only to find that they had frozen over the last couple of days! We were able to cut into Carson and Landon's, but Travis's was too frozen, so he had to wait until the next day to carve his. He worked on cleaning all the pumpkin seeds to bake instead.

When everyone's were done, we headed outside to take a picture of them. Just as I was getting ready to take a picture, Landon farted, which got everyone to give me some great smiles! Now I know the secret to genuine smiles...farts!

Witch's tea

This Friday night, Renee threw a witch's tea party for all the Asay girls. It was held at on old hotel in Burlington that Renee's parents own. It provided just the right amount of spookiness. She had it decorated super cute. We started with some herbal teas and treats that everyone brought. I took "witches hats" which were actually chocolate kiss cookies. After some treats, Grandma Asay told a spooky story and then we played a bunch of games before heading home.

The yummy food.
All of us witches!

Freshman football year

Carson's Freshman year of football is coming to a close. They had 6 JV games this year and they did really well. They went 4-2 on the season. Carson started out the season as a lineman, but mid way through the season, they moved him to being a tight end.  He's learned a lot from his coaches and has loved playing this year! The freshman were given the choice to continue to practice with the team after their season was finished, so Carson has continue to practice with the team. It will be fun to see how far their team goes this year!

Because of COVID, the teams don't shake hands after the game. Instead, they give a helmet salute to the other team.

Travis was ball boy at the games. He loves being down on the sidelines with the older guys!

Landon's Flag Football

Landon's first year of flag football has come and gone. He has been looking forward to this for so long!! They had 4 teams this year (uncle Daniel was his coach) and that made it so that they were able to have 3 games. Their team won 1 out of the 3. He actually has pretty good awareness for the game and did really well. They all got to play all the positions, which was great to see. He even scored a touchdown in one of the games! I'm excited to watch him continue to progress and grow in the sport!
