Landon Turns 9!

It's official...my baby is 9! Landon had a fun-filled day on his birthday! He started the day with our traditional birthday number pancakes (making a 9 this year proved to be a little difficult for me!) and opening a new shirt for the day!

To continue his special day, I picked him up for lunch and we went and ate at the park. He requested tacos from Maverick, so I picked up some of those and we enjoyed the sunshine!

He was lucky to have his birthday fall on a Friday, and Fridays are short days at school. He had a friend party right after school at the park. He wanted a football party, so the older two boys helped me run some party friendly football drills for games. We did:

a "passing" relay where they had to carry a tiny football on a spoon and then pass it to the next person on their team.

They "punted" the football over the top of the swing set,

They kicked "field goals" with a tiny football through a cardboard field goal,

and lastly, they just played a game of two had touch.

 

After the games, he opened gifts and they had root beer floats. They played more football while they waited for parents! He had a blast having his first friend party and they were such a fun bunch of boys!

We knew the evening was going to be pretty busy with Travis's game and Carson's practice, so we had a pretty quiet party after Travis's game. We had pizza and dessert with both sets of grandparents and Jason and Cassie.

He chose to have death by chocolate for his dessert and it sure tasted yummy!

We are sure thankful for Landon. He is always willing to help out where ever needed. He is kind and thinks of others needs. He loves animals and always tries to do what is right. He loves to be outside and is always up for an adventure. He really looks up to his older brothers! We love you, Landon!
