Trip to Utah

Last Friday we made a quick trip to Utah for the weekend. We left Lovell around 2:30 and drove to Green River and stayed the night there. Once we were there, we let the boys swim to get some energy out and then went back and got ready for bed
On the road...I was driving and everyone was sleeping. It was a pretty quiet trip for part of it.

And it was hot. The thermometer says 101. I saw it get to 103

Carson and Travis took turns flipping each other off their shoulders into the water.

I told them to flex and these are the poses I got. We really need to work on Landon's flexing form!
Saturday morning, we got up fairly early and head to Provo, UT to visit Christian's grandma. She turned 101 this Summer, so we thought if we were going to be that close, we would drop in and see her. We visited inside for a while and then she took us outside to see the pond and ducks.

We ended up getting some crackers out of the car to feed the ducks with. Carson decided he would try and feed one out of his hand. He was surprised when it actually took it!

After a nice visit with Grandma Asay, we grabbed some lunch at Tucanos, a Brazilian restaurant, and then made our way to Logan to see my sister for the blessing of baby Sloane.
Landon and baby Sloane. He wanted his picture with her because they were matching.

Jabin took Christian, Carson and Travis out to a little lake where they jet skied for a while. They had fun trying out something new and exploring the area.

That afternoon, Grandpa and Grandma Foulger showed up with really Grandpa and Grandma Foulger. We hung out and ordered some pizza  for dinner. Megan, my mom and I worked on making salads for the luncheon after the blessing on Sunday.

Christian and I made a Swig drink stop at like 10:00 Saturday night. I was surprised to see cars lined up at the drive up when we got there. I guess we aren't the only ones that craved a yummy drink late at night. We stopped at the grocery store on our way back to Megan's and picked up some guardana (a Brazilian pop Chrisitan drank on his mission) and a carton of Aggie Blue Mint ice cream to share. Getting ice cream from the creamery was one thing Carson wanted to do while we were there, so this was our second best option.
Sunday we attended Sacrament meeting in Megan and Jabin's ward for the blessing of Sloane.

After church we went out Jabin's parents house for a luncheon and spent most the afternoon and evening there. We left Monday morning around 8 to head home. We really had an enjoyable weekend and are so glad that we could see family while we were gone!
