Yesterday, we spent our day up on the Pryor Mountains exploring. Our group, consisting of us, my parents, Jason and Cassie, my grandparents and four members of the Whitlock family, unloaded up at Crystal Creek around 11 and headed our on our 4-wheelers and side by sides for a dusty ride up the mountain to the Ice Cave and then up to Dry Head Overlook. The trip was about 25 miles total, each way and was about an hour ride. This was our first time up there and it was beautiful! It is so green and lush this year! It was a warm and beautiful day! Once we got to the Ice Cave picnic area, we used the bathrooms and then walked down to the cave and explored around.

| Finally made it to the Picnic area |
You have to walk down several flights of stairs to get into the cave. Once you are inside, you can stand on a platform and look around. It's amazing the difference in temperature in the cave. There was plenty of ice in the cave and it was cold enough that you could see your breath! Jason bought and gave each of the boys their very own head lamp to use while they were exploring. They went off the platform to the side and did some exploring over there and ended up finding some cool crystals.

After some exploring, we went back to the picnic area and enjoyed the lunches we packed and visited while the kids played.

After lunch, we drove up to Dry Head Overlook. It was an amazing view. I'm sad that it was a little smokey from some area fires, but it was still beautiful. Christian brought his binoculars to try and see his dad's cows.

After checking out the overlook, we headed back down to our cars. It was much more dusty on the way back and hotter. Great Grandma said their thermometer ready 97 degrees!

It was such a fun day and the boys were excited to get to cross off another thing from our Summer Bucket list! We are so lucky to live in an area where we get to enjoy so many beautiful and wonderful things!
