We had a full day Saturday. We are trying to soak up as much of our summer as we have left before school starts in a couple of weeks!! Our day started with breakfast at grandpa Monk's house. They cooked us all biscuits and gravy, all we could eat bacon and sausage, and build your own omelets! It was delicious and fun to visit with anyone!
| Carson was a great sport and pulled all the little boys around in a wagon. |
As soon as we were done with breakfast, we drove back to Lovell so Travis could play in his first soccer game. It was pretty funny to watch, but he did a really good job! Soccer isn't very well organized around here, so we will be happy to have this season over. Luckily, it only lasts for two weeks.
| All ready to play in his first game! |
| As they were warming up, a kid on his team kicked the ball and it hit him square in the face giving him a bloody nose. He wasn't very happy about it, and I wasn't sure he was going to play, but he got over it and went out and had fun. |
| Carson was my video-er. We haven't watched it yet to see how well he did! |
| This picture cracks me up! Travis stood right in front of the goalie for quite a while and never tried to kick the ball in the goal. I think he was expecting the goalie to pick it up and didn't want to kick her. I think (I hope) next game will be a different story. |
| Throwing the ball in. |
| He even got to play goalie and actually payed attention to the ball on the field! |
After the game (that started almost 30 minutes late), we headed back home. Christian got the boat all loaded up and ready to go while I made some dinner to take over to our neighbors for dinner that night who recently started chemo. We headed to the lake for a few hours and enjoyed every minute of it. We ate first thing and then let the boys play in the water. Carson, Christian and I all skied and then we talked (by talk I mean bribed him with a dollar and getting to cliff jump) Travis into trying to ski. He has been saying he wants to try it all summer but always chickens out at the last minute. He wasn't too happy about it, but he tried it three times and came really close the third time. I think next time we go out he will be able to do it.
| Carson hamming it up! |
| Carson had some pretty sweet hair after riding in the boat. |
| Christian ended up getting in the water to help Travis out and was just going to swim over to the side if he got up. We had to do some job trading since Christian was in the water with Travis. I drove (like always), Carson had to be the one holding the rope for the skis and Landon was my flag boy. |
Oh Landon! How we love your crazy faces!
After Travis attempted to ski, we let Travis pick a spot to cliff jump as promised. They played around for a bit and then we decided to blow up the tube and take a drive up the canyon. On our drive, we saw a total of 6 big horn sheep. One was a big male all by him self and the other group were females and younger ones.
| Travis jumping from his "cliff". It wasn't very high from the water, but he loved it! |
| Carson and Landon playing on the rocks. |
| The big guy! |
| Can you spot the big horn sheep in these pictures? |
| The 3 amigos! |
We ended up getting back home around 5, ate some dinner and then went to bed early because no one had naps.
Love Landon's face holding the flag haha and carson is rocking the wind-blown look.
