Party!

This last Sunday, we had a family party to celebrate Travis turning 6. His actual birthday isn't until September 1st, but we are going to be out of town and decided we would celebrate early with school and such starting as soon as we get back. We had about 30 family members to celebrate with us! Travis was very particular in what he wanted for dinner at his party: hamburgers, hot dogs, frog eye salad (and he made sure to remind me that it isn't really frog eyes in there but they are just noodles), chips and a veggie tray. We added some other items too to make sure we had enough for everyone.

Travis wanted a ninja turtle party and Grandma Dorothy brought the coolest "turtle shell" jellos for the kids to eat. They were so fun!

As soon as it looked like everyone was done eating dinner, Travis was begging to open presents. He got some super cool stuff and lots of fun ninja turtle things! The boys have been playing ninja turtles everyday since Sunday!

He got a new lunch box from great grandpa and grandma Foulger that was full of all sorts of yummy treats. He was so excited about the jerkey and is saving it for our camping trip in Jackson!

 After opening gifts, we lit some candles and had some cake!

Travis was pretty impressed with his ninja turtle cake we got. We didn't know how it was going to turn out since we ordered it over the phone, but he loved it...and it tasted yummy too!

After everyone left, we used all the masks he got from his birthday and took a family selfie! Turtle Power!!

We will celebrate his real birthday next Monday as we drive home from Jackson! We sure had fun celebrating your birthday, Travis!
