Week of the 4th!

We had a busy week this last week! Monday we went and watched the Extreme Bulls. Tuesday and Thursday, we met friends at the whale pool in the afternoons to play. On Wednesday, the boys and I drove to Billings to do some shopping and then went to Janelle's birthday party that afternoon. We all got to go swim at the pool next to their apartment and then had a bbq in the park. It was such a nice day and the kids had so much fun being with their cousins! While we were partying in Billings, Christian, Matthew and Daniel drove up the mountain and did a little fishing when they were all done with work. The caught quite a few little fish.
The boys got to spend some money that Grandma Foulger had given them a little while ago. They were actually quite efficient in picking out what they wanted to buy.
Carson going down one of the slides.
The boys loved going under the big water mushroom thing.
Christian's first catch of the night.
Almost lost it!
Must not have had any dinner!?

On the Fourth of July, we got up and headed to the lake early (for the first time this year). We got to the lake around ten. Carson skied a couple of times, Christian and I each skied once and then we had our usual yummy fried chicken for lunch. After lunch, the kids played in the water and then we tubed for a while. Before we left, we took a drive up the canyon as far as we could before it started to get so that we were dodging lots of logs in the water, so we turned around and headed home.
Glad to finally be out on the boat for the first time this summer.
Getting his skies on.
Looking good!
Christian's turn to ski for the first time this summer.
Happy Landon!
Mom's turn. The water was amazing!
Travis was the flag boy...even though he wasn't happy about his job!
Landon was a little unsure about being on the boat especially when ever we would start driving. He would always ask who ever was sitting next to him to hold his hand. This time Travis was the lucky guy!
Cute boys playing in the water!
Enjoying some chicken for lunch!
Landon taking a dip in the water to cool off!

Carson taking Landon for a ride in the tub!
The water was awesome!
That evening, we had our annual baseball's over/4th of July party at our house. Both sets of grandparents, grandma Dorothy, Matthew and Charlene and kids and Jared all came and partied with us. Christian cooked us burger, dogs and brauts for dinner.

Grandpa Asay, Michael, Matthew, Ian, Grandma Dorothy, Chloe and Travis.
The boys talked Christian into lighting some fireworks before it even got dark.
Landon enjoying his ice cream that grandma Foulger brought for dessert.
Relaxing.
Janelle and Landon had so much fun playing together!
The boys each got a parachute to light and catch the little guys that came out of them. By the end of the night, Landon's parachute was no longer attached.
We only had one mishap in our firework adventures this year. Carson was pretty brave this year and wanted to hold some of the Roman Candles and shoot them. One of them misfired and hit him in the shoulder and burnt his shoulder in one little spot. While Christian was trying to help take over the firework, one of the balls shot out and landed in the field behind our house catching it on fire! Luckily, the guys were quick to react and were able to get in there with shovels and hoes to get it contained until we could get some buckets filled up with water to put it out! It was a bit scary for me and I was nervous about shooting any more fireworks after that! We decided to move our party to the front yard after that to light the fountains we had!
Carson shooting off a firework.
Grandpa Asay dumping another tub of water on the fire.

OOPS!
Grandma Foulger putting a can of cold pop on Carson's burn.
Landon and Grandpa Foulger chilled on the blanket watching the action!

On the fifth (Saturday), Christian ended up having to run to Powell in the morning to get some chemical for a guy. Not long after that, we got a text from Grandpa and Grandma Foulger saying they were just about ready to head to lake. We got ourselves ready and loaded up our stuff and met them at the lake and spent the day in their boat. Christian, Carson and I all skied. Christian and Carson both knee boarded. Grandpa Foulger tried to ski for the first time on his new knee but ended up pulling a muscle and not being able to! We tried and tried to talk Travis into trying to ski but he wouldn't do it (even though he told us he was going to do it this year). Maybe next time we can get him to do it! We enjoyed friend chicken for lunch again and a nice long ride up the canyon where Travis spotted a nice Big Horn sheep. It was too hot to sit still for very long so the ride up the canyon was very welcomed! We drove up to Barry's Landing where we used the bathrooms and the boys looked for craw fish. After that, it was time to head back to the dock. We were all so tired from being in the sun the last two days that we were all in bed by 9:30!

Carson knee boarding.
Christian trying it out.

Showing off his sweet 360 skills!
Carson's getting pretty comfortable skiing now. He went over the wake once, but crashed shortly after that.
Travis discovered Grandpa's paddle could double as a squirter too and had fun squirting anyone that was in the water!
Landon and Grandma enjoying the scenery.

Love their smiles!

The was the big horn sheep we saw on our drive up the canyon.
Looking for craw dads. They didn't find any!

  2. Oh my goodness I can't even handle this!! Looks like such a fun week. The picture of Landon and travy holding hands in the boat is the cutest thing ever! Good to hear that dad tried skiing but bummer about pulling a muscle. We've gotta get Christian up on a slalom and Travis to try skiing. Love it all!
