Recap of last week!

Here is my attempt to get caught up of our happenings from the last week!

Sunday night the tooth fairy visited Travis and brought him a pack of gum and a dollar bill! He was supper excited that she came!
We made plans to swim in grandma Foulger's pool one last time before they move out of their house. Grandma was getting her hair done so we had some time to kill. We tried to visit really Grandpa and grandma Foulger but they weren't home. So, instead, we called up uncle Matthew and asked him if he would be willing to give us a tour of the vet clinic. The boys thought everything was really cool and asked lots of questions about everything. Their favorite part was probably seeing the teeth that they had pulled out of various animals.
Uncle Matthew showing them the horse tooth he had pulled a few days earlier.

When grandma Foulger was done getting her hair done, we grabbed some lunch and headed to their house to swim. We are sure going to miss having a pool to go and swim at!
Landon thought it was fun to wear two pair of sun glasses!
Carson playing a game of catch as you jump in the pool with grandma.
Landon was being crazy after Popsicle and tried to fit his head in the little opening of the sliding door.
Monday night for family home evening, we made a trip up the Big Horns to do a little fishing.
Tuesday, we went to Zumba in the morning and then went to Powell.
We enjoyed some fried chicken for dinner after we got up the mountain.
Travis and Carson being silly.
Each of the boys "caught" a fish. And by "caught", I mean Christian caught it with their pole and then got to hep reel it in.
Travis looks like he is crying but the sun was in his eyes.
Christian is always so good and patient about helping each of the boys. He never really gets to do much fishing himself, but the older boys are starting to get the hang of and can do most of it on their own, so eventually he will get to fish when we go as a family!

Tuesday evening, as soon as Christian got done with work, we headed to the lake. It didn't get windy on us until we were almost there. We were able to find a little spot in the narrow part just before the causway. We played in that area the entire time we were out. It started to get  pretty windy and the water was getting choppy in our spot so we decided that it was probably time to head in. As we came out of our little sheltered spot, we were met by some nasty white caps that kept coming in over the sides of our boat. We made it to the no wake zone and thought we were safe when all of a sudden we hit something. We hit it so hard that it knocked Christian off his seat completely and scrapped up his arm. We think we went down in a swell just as the bouyies were coming up and hit the cable that they are attached to. It scared us all!! We were grateful that some friends of ours pulled in at the same time so we were able to help each other get boats loaded. It's my fear that Christian and I will be out there by ourselves and it will get nasty and we will not be able to get things loaded. When we asked Landon if he had fun boating, he replied, "Yeah, but I cried!" The boys were all pretty freaked out by the nasty weather, but I'm sure when we hit the water again they won't even remember it!
Travis knee boarding.
Landon and Travis enjoying the evening!
Carson after knee boarding. We forgot the kid skis at our house so Carson just had to settle for knee boarding. He was able to actually do it the correct way this time and even stared moving from side to side in the wake.
The lake was beautiful!
Look at that concentration!
It's hard to see, but we took a chunk out of our lower unit when we hit the cable. Luckily, it should run just fine!
Wednesday night, the two older boys and I had to go to a scout meeting where they were doing a flag burning. Early in the evening, Landon actually poohed and peed in the toilet! As promised, if he pooped in the toilet, we got to go ride horses by himself with his dad! They had a good ride and saw a giant rattle snake on the way! He hasn't pooped on the toilet since then, but has peed! I'm just happy he is finally showing some interest!
A little blurry, but totally loving it!

  1. I can only imagine trying to deal with windy water! Hate IT. Landon is a little spunky one. Can't believe Travis lost a tooth already!
