Last night for family home evening, we got together with some of Christian's family to have chili and make some homemade apple cider. The last time we did this, Landon was brand new, so it had been almost two years. The guys worked on the cider outside while the ladies got to visit inside and the kids ran around playing and having fun with cousins. We ended up make enough for each family to have about 2 gallons to take home.

Landon loved seeing Opie. Opie has become a permanent resident to Grandma Dorthy's house and Daniel and Kasi sure take good care of him.
Uncle Daniel smashing the apples to get the juice.
We pressed all four of these coolers full of apples.
The apple juice. I was told that this press was purchased in 1978. It's so fun to get to use it when there is a good crop of apples!
Uncle Jared enjoying his first cup of cider.
Carson helping grandpa load up apples to put in the press.
Don't you just love apple harvest time! What a great FHE.
