Manoa Falls and some Malasadas

After our great snorkeling adventure, we made our way to Leonard's Bakery in Honolulu for some Malasadas, a portuguese donut.
They had all sorts of flavors, so we decided to get a variety. We got coconut, orginal, custard, cinnamon sugar and guava. They reminded me of oiliebollen with filling. (they were definitely better hot and fresh than day old). .
After picking up dessert, we grabbed some sandwhiches for lunch and then drove the rest of the way to Manoa Falls. When Megan explained this hike to us, she said it was like walking through Jurassic Park and it really was like that! The vegetation was amazing! The trees were so tall and everything was so green and lush. It was beautiful. Some times, as we looked out, it felt almost fake it was so pretty.
We weren't able to go all the way to the bottom of the falls, but it was so pretty!
On the way down, Christian decided to see if the vines were strong enough to hold him up and they were. He and Jabin both did a little swinging!
After our hike, we headed back to the resort just in time to get ready and make our reservation to one of the restaurants at the resort. Monday and Tuesday, we spent on the beach soaking up as much sunshine as we could!
On Tuesday, some friends of ours, who were also in the same resort, said a mile or so down from our beach they were able to see turtles, so we decided to explore and see if we could find them. It was a pretty walk along the rocks and ocean and we were able to see a couple turtles from a distance.
That night, we flew out. Our flight was supposed to leave at 9:30, but ended up getting delayed until 11:30. Lucky for us, my aunt and uncle were staying a few days longer and they let us use their room to shower and keep our luggage until it was time to leave. We arrived back to Billings around 11:30, ran an errand and made it home in time to have a little nap before the kids got home from school. We were sad to have to leave the warm, but happy to be back with our boys!
