Hanauma Bay

We had planned to spend Monday exploring the island and doing some snorkeling at Hanauma Bay and a hike to Manoa Falls, but came to find out that the site at which we were going to snorkel wasn't open on Mondays, so we decided to go on Sunday (something we normally wouldn't do). We also discovered that you had to buy tickets online before hand, and when we checked on Saturday, they were all sold out for Sunday, but the site said a limited number of walk-ins would be allowed. So, we decided to try our luck and see if we could walk in and get tickets. We got up and left by 7 and drove the hour over to Hanauma Bay to try and snorkel. To our surprise, we were able to walk up and get tickets to go. We were all surprised and excited. This was one of the things that we really wanted to do while we were there. Hanuama Bay was beautiful and the snorkeling was great! We snorkeled and saw SO many differnt kinds of fish! It was amazing!!
And yes, we had to wear a mask as we made our way down the ramp to the beach. We were supposed to wear them until we found our spot on the beach, but then we were supposed to put them back on again if we moved from our spot.
Getting ready to head out!
It was amazing all the fish we saw. We've snorkeled in lots of places and this was definitely on the top of the list!
We snorkeled for a while and then took a beach break.
Christian and Jabin decided to go farther out than I was comfortable going. They said the coral was much better and more vibrant where they went and they saw a huge eel!
We would definitely give this place a 10 out of 10!
