Art Studio projects

During our Spring Break, I was able to take the boys two different times to pick out something to paint at My Studio. They had been dying to get to go do something there and this was a perfect activity for us to do on our days off. I had wanted to take each of them individually, but couldn't quite get it to work out that way. I ended up taking Carson and Landon one day while Travis was at a friends house, and then took Travis the next week by himself. Each of the boys got to pick out one piece of pottery they wanted to paint. Carson chose a mug, Landon a football bank and Travis a basketball bank. They had a great time picking out their colors and deciding on what screen print pictures to use. It's all a real cool process and I'd love to go some time and paint some dishes!
Carson painting away. You have to put three coats of the paint on for it to turn out good.

To put the screen print on, you place a picture that has lots of little holes in it on your piece and run in a thick, like pudding, paint. It's pretty cool how it works!
It took about a week for them to get fired and the boys were super excited to have their finished products!

Some how, I deleted the pictures I took of Travis when he got to go do his, but  here is his finished Wyoming Cowboys bank. It turned out pretty sweet!
