Christmas Eve 2016

We had a good Christmas Eve this year. We chilled at home (Travis was recovering from what we think was a mild concussion after hitting his head on some snow) until late afternoon and then made our way out to Grandpa and Grandma Asay's house to make gnocchis. This year, we had lots of good help from the older grandkids, so it all went really fast. We ate and then sat around and visited with everyone.
Ready to start rolling gnocchis.

Everyone enjoying some early dinner/late lunch gnocchis! They were delicious/

After we were done at grandma Asay's, we went back to our house and waited for Grandpa and Grandma Foulger to come hang out with us. We enjoyed some little smokies, veggies, meat and cheese and 7 layer dip. The boys were beyond excited to get to open their traditional Christmas Eve gift which is usually new pajamas. This year though, they were in for a surprise. I, had been so excited, myself, for this night...the boys were finally going to find out that they got to go with us to Hawaii in January. We had been keeping it a secret FOREVER and they thought they were going to be staying with Grandma Asay while we were gone. Their reactions were awesome once they figured out what was going one. It took Landon a little longer to catch on because he couldn't read what they puzzle said (they each got a piece of a puzzle that said they were going to Hawaii). They are beyond excited and can't stop talking about what we are going to do when we get there!

The best reactions!

We're still working on Landon being able to make the hang loose sign...

Grandpa got on-line and showed them where we were going to be staying when we were in Hawaii.
The boys did get some new shorts as their pj's so that we could take our annual pj's picture in front of the tree.

When we were done with opening pj's, we played a game of headbandz before the kids went to bed. Mom and dad made it to bed around 12
