A weekend away!

This last weekend, the boys went one direction to have fun and I went another! I had discovered that plane tickets to Salt Lake were only $150, round trip, so my mom and I decided to make a trip down to see my sister and do some shopping. We left Friday morning super early and got to Salt Lake around 8. We got our rental car and then drove to a couple of stores before heading to Logan where Megan was getting off work at 12. We picked her up, grabbed some lunch and then started shopping. We hit a couple of stores and then met up with Jabin for dinner at Texas Roadhouse.

Saturday morning, we left Logan about 10 and shopped at all our favorite stores down around Farmington and other towns. We didn't get back to Megan's until 11:30 that night. We had so much fun shopping and being together...just the girls. Once we were home, we wrapped some presents that were staying at Megan's house and helped her get a Christmas wreath started. We were able to get lots of Christmas shopping done and were a little worried about how we were going to get everything home in our two suitcases. We managed to get everything home though! I got home with just enough time, Sunday, to change into my church clothes and head to church.

On the road!
My mom's bed all full of our shopping bags.
While I was away in Utah, the boys had their own fun. Saturday morning, they headed down to Laramie with Michael and Stetson to watch the Cowboys play San Diego State in the Mountain West Championship football game. They got to Laramie a few hours before the game and grabbed luch first at Corona Village, our favorite place to eat in Laramie. After lunch they went and hung out at the tailgate place where they had bouncy houses and other fun things for kids to do. It was a good way for them to get some exercise after sitting all day. The game was at 5:30, so they bundled up with lots of layers (it was in the 20's during the game) and went to watch the game. It was a close game, but the Cowboys didn't come away with a win. They will get to play in the Poinsettia Bowl, though, later in the month. When the game was over, they drove to Casper to stay the night and left around 8 Sunday morning the come home.
Hanging out before the game while they played.

Heading in to the game.

  1. Well Christian is definitely a better picture taker than his younger brother Michael. :)I'm so glad they got to go. Stetson had so much fun. Cousins are the best. And fun girls Trip too! You all look beautiful.
