Our lately!

Here are some random things that we have done lately.

 

On the first day of school, our ward had their cub scout rain gutter regatta. Carson made his boat out of a green pepper again this year. He did pretty well but the bottom of his sail would get wet. Travis made a boat once we got there with some extra vegetables that were brought.

 For family home evening on Monday, we got together at grandma Asay's house to freeze corn. Travis had his last soccer game that night, so I went to his game while Christian took the other two boys to help. The corn was already picked when they got there so they picked a bunch more to take to Greybull to sell to the grocery store and to take to Grandpa Monk. We ended up bagging and freezing 93 bags of corn!

Travis got to help cut the corn off the cob this year. He also helped when grandpa had to the cobs down to the pigs.

 

One of our neighbors has been digging up a pipe close to our house. It has provided lots of entertainment for the boys as they have loved going into it and seeing how many crawdads they can catch with their nets. We kept two in our little tank over night and when was one dead the next morning, the boys decided that they should just catch and release.

 The day before school started, Grandpa and Grandma Foulger took us out to the lake for the day. The water was awesome, once again! The boys had fun getting in all the skiing they could, hanging out with grandpa and grandma Foulger and eating fried chicken.

We have been continuing the finishing stuff on our basement. Our wiring is all done except for putting up the light above the vanity and in the bedrooms. Our surround sound speakers are all hooked up, we are in the process of painting our trim and the tile is going in in the bathroom and laundry room. It's getting so close!

I canned one batch of salsa. I decided to only do one batch (18 pints) this year because we are still eating on some from 2013 and 2014. I love the colors of all the peppers when they are fresh from the garden!
