Last night, we loaded up a picnic dinner, and picked up grandpa and grandma Asay and grandma Dorothy and headed into Dry Head for a picnic dinner and to pick some choke cherries. We drove passed the corrals where we will be heading next weekend to wean calves. When we arrived, we picked a bunch of choke cherries and then some went for a hike. We ended up picking enough to fill a Wilcoxins ice cream bucket and another gallon ice cream bucket full of choke cherries! Grandpa did a check of some of the cows there were close on their walk and thought they looked pretty good. Landon was in heaven with all the cows around! After picking cherries we had some fried chicken for dinner, ate some watermelon and then decided to head back since it was getting dark and cooling off. It was a fun little evening excursion with family!

Landon LOVED eating the ones he picked. There was good evidence of just how many he ate today in his diaper!
Landon was so proud of himself to be standing on this board because it made him a little taller and he could reach choke cherries that were up higher.

A look at some of the cows.
The boys were quite facinated with the bear poop that they found on their walk because it was full of seeds.

Carson got a multi-tool for his 5th birthday from some friends of ours in Nebraska. We haven't really ever let him use it until last night. He had a blast using the little saw and the knife.

Love the picture of the boys on the rocks. Looks like a fun day. Isn't it great to be near family.
