Jamaica, Mon!

Jamaica.
Our fourth day was spent in Jamaica. We ported in Falmouth, Jamaica and from there, drove to Ocho Rios, Jamaica to catch a catamaran to head out to snorkel and climb the Dunn's River Falls. It was about an hour drive, so along the way, our tour guide gave of lots of interesting facts about the island. I, was not overly impressed with Jamaica. I thought it was dirty...maybe it was just where we were.
Our tour guide, Tamika. They drove on the opposite side of the road...it was rather freaky!

When we got to Ocho Rios, we were taken to a hotel where we boarded our boat that would take us just around a corner to go snorkeling. We seriously could have just walked from the beach out to the sight where we snorkeled. We got to snorkel for about 45 minutes. We saw a few different kinds of fish and I even got to hold a sea urchin and feed some of the fish.
Waiting to head out on our boat.
All ready to snorkel.
After snorkeling, we loaded and headed over to the Dunn's River Falls. Here, we climbed the 600 feet from the bottom of the falls to the top.. Along the way, we would get to stop briefly and fall into some deep pools. We didn't get any pictures of our trip up the falls because all our stuff would have gotten wet. It was actually a neat experience. After we made it to the top and claimed all our baggage, we were take to a not so stellar lunch at a near hotel and then taken back to port. At port, we looked around some of the shops before getting back on the ship in time for dinner.

Walking around the shops near the port.
Our next day was spent entirely at Sea. Once again, we lounged on the deck most of the day. That afternoon, we decided it was time to play a round of mini golf....I mean, how often do you get to play miniature golf while you are on the water?
Jabin, my dad, my cousin, Krista and her husband, Kyle and my grandparents lounging on the deck.
Soaking it up!
Time for a mean game of mini golf. There was a three way tie between Christian, Megan and Jabin for first, followed by me and then my dad.

It looks like Christian is looking for his ball...
Around four, we all headed back to our rooms to get ready for our second formal dinner. After dinner, we got to attend an ice skating show. It was based off of stories by Hans Christian Anderson.
Ready for our second formal dinner.
This might have been may favorite part of the ice show. These two artists opened for the the ice skaters and made pictures together using sand. They were amazing and really talented!
