Day 2 & 3!

Sunday was our first full day at sea. We slept in and then grabbed some breakfast and then headed out to sit on the deck and catch some rays. We would usually each lunch around 2 and then stay out until around 4 and then go in and get ready for dinner that was always at 6. What's fun about cruises is that you get to eat some fun foods. While on our cruise, we ate duck, lamb, scallops, lots and lots of shrimp, tiger shrimp, lobster and lots of other yummy dishes. My favorite was a tenderloin and the key lime pie we had the last night was amazing!
Enjoying some sun on the deck!
Our first "formal dinner"
All dressed up!

Christian just keeps getting cheesier...

...and cheesier!
After dinner, we got to attend a show in the Aqua Theater. There were a series of divers and synchronized swimmers that performed. It was really neat to watch.
Waiting for the show to start.

One of the divers.
That night after dinner, we played cards with my grandparents. Christian and Jabin thought it would be really funny to cheat and mess up my mom, dad's, Megan's and mine cards.
cheaters!
Playing golf.
We were greeted by a nice little elephant when we got back to our room that night.
Welcome sign as we entered the port of Labadee, Haiti.
Day three of our trip was spent on the island of Haiti. We got off at a port in Labadee, Haiti, Royal Caribbean's private port. It was beautiful. When we got off, we didn't have anything really planned to do while we were there. We brought our swim suites with us, just in case. As we walked through the town, we saw people on a zip line over the water and decided that we wanted to do that. All of us signed up, except my mom. We had a few hours before we were scheduled to go so we decided to walk through the little flea market area and get some souvenirs.
A picture of the coast line. Up in the trees is where we would be zip lining from.
Everyone has a little Captain in them. Here we are trying to decide what w wanted to do for sure.
Christian made it through the little flea market alive and managed to  get away with only a couple of swords for Carson and Travis. They were hand painted and had their names carved in them.

If you look just to the left of the top leaf, there is a little lizard. While we were waiting for the rest of the group to get out of the shopping part, I spotted this little guy.
Enjoying the beach!
Who knows?

There were hundreds of little snails or something stuck all over the rocks by the water.
There were also lots of little crabs crawling around.
Around noon, we got geared up and headed on our zip line adventure. They took us to a practice one that was shorter first so we could get the hang of it and give us a chance to chicken out, I guess before we get to the big one!
This was the view from the top of the zip line. It was around 2300 feet long. We had an amazing view!

Christian getting all ready to head down the zip line.
We were instructed to go down using different styles that made us go faster or slower depending on the wind. When Christian went down, he was instructed to do the star fish...I'd say he looked pretty much like a star fish!

Megan and I got to go together!
Weee!
Megan and I zipping over the water!
After we were done with the zip line, we ate some lunch and then got changed and headed down to the beach for a few hours. We lounged on the floating mats, soaked up some sun, and just enjoyed being on the beach!
Getting ready to eat.
Megan and Jabin (in the back) and Christian and I enjoying the floating mats.
caught in the act!

Our cabana's by the water. It was pretty much heavenly!
Don't ask me, but I love this guy like crazy!!

Toes in the sand!
Soaking up the sun!
Our little cabana.
On our way back to the ship, there was a group playing some fun music and a man eating fire. They were pretty impressive.
The band.
I think this guy is just crazy!!

Leaving Labadee!

  1. 1. I cannot for the life of me find the lizard in that picture.
    2. Grandma was in on the cheating...and so was I.
    3. I don't think our room cleaner guy attended the class on towel animal making. We never got an elephant. Just two dogs or some animal like that.
