Sweet 16!

How can it be that I have a 16 year old in my house! Carson turned 16 today and we couldn't be more proud of the young man that he is! He is kind, patient, a peace maker, hard worker, a good example to his brothers, and a good friend. We celebrated his day with a big family party at our house. He chose to ham for dinner, so we had that, cheesy potatoes and a bunch of yummy sides (thanks to my sister-in-laws). For dessert he requested Death by Chocolate and is was delicious!!

He got some great stuff for his birthday and the smiles say it all! He got some camo clothes, wireless Beats headphones, a new driver survival kit (everything he would need to put in his car when he gets to drive), cash, some clothes, and the some of the best smiles came when he got some gifts for his first date..cologne, tic tacs, chapstick, a date night certificate for the hyart and some after shave (which he thought was mouth wash at first). It was the best!!

Carson officially got his driver's license a couple days later! It's been amazing and a little nerve racking all at the same time! I love that I don't have as many trips into town, but makes me so nervous about him driving on his own! I'm sure I'll relax a bit here afer a little while!
