MIddle school wrestling

Travis finished up his 7th grade wrestling season this weekend and went out with a bang! He wrestled the best I've seen him wrestle all season and came out with a first place medal!! His first match was against a Lander kid. He had a pretty amazing throw that ended in a pin! We talked about that throw for the rest of the day! His second match was against a kid from Worland and he pinned him in the first period. We seriously laughed through his last match because the kid was kicking and squeeling because Travis kept trying to get his hands in under the other kids arms and kept using his knkuckles on the kids ribs and he did NOT like it! It was funny. It was so fun to watch him wrestle so agressively and so well to end the season! I'm proud of how much he improved this year!!

I wish this picture had been more in focus because I thinks it's so fun! After Travis's match, his coach told him he was glad to see that his dad was teaching him things at home...refering to him using his knucles to get a kid to open up his arms. It brought a smile to his face!
