Picking chokecherries

For family home evening tonight, we went into Dry Head with Daniel and Kasi and their kids to pick chokecherries. We weren't sure how many there would be this year because it was so dry, but there ended up being TONS of them. We picked probably 5 gallons of chokecherries for our family and Daniel and Kasi probably picked that many too.
After filling up our buckets, we drove down to the Snell cabin and had a picnic dinner and then headed back out.
I was able to can a bunch of Chokecherry jelly and some syrup for pancakes. We gave a bunch of the chokecherries to Grandma Asay for her to use.
