Back to School

The last week before school starts is always super busy with open houses and such. Monday, Carson started 2-a days for football and I attended a sustitute teacher training. Tuesday was physical day for Travis and Wednesday was the Middle School open house. It's crazy to think he will be a 7th grader!
Thursday was the high school open house.
Friday we went to Powell and hung out. Saturday, it wasn't nice enough to go out in the boat, so we decided to head to Cody for a round of mini golf, lunch, Wal-Mart and home. It was fun to spend the day together before things get busy with school and sports! Travis and Landon both got hole in ones, but mom was the overall winner!! Friday night, Mikayla made back to school donuts at Grandma Asay's house. They were delicious!!
Sunday we did our annual back to school dinner. We had steaks, cheesey potatoes, fried zucchini, rolls and dessert.
Monday, we had football meetings and practices and getting everything ready to go for the next day...the first day of schoool! Today was the first day of school. It always amazes me how fast the summer goes each year and I sweat it gets faster the older my kids get! They were ready to head back to school, not so much for the school part, but for friends and sports. I can't wait to hear about their first day and know that they will have a great year!!
*Carson came home from the first day of school with a letter in academics. He lettered in Academics as a Freshman and they just now got them their awards. Not a bad way to start off the school year!!
