4th of July

This year, the 4th of July was on a Sunday. We celebrated on Sauturday. We hit the lake in the morning and stayed out until it got too busy. We were able to put in at Horseshoe Bend this time, but the water levels were still pretty low. We did enjoy some great water, sunshine and family time! The highlight of the day was getting all three boys to ski together!
That evening, we bbq'd, played some cornhole and then shot off our fireworks.
Sunday, we attended church, had dinner at Grandma Asay's house and then went over to the Hendershots for dessert and watched them light off their fireworks. Because the Fourth was on a Sunday, Christian got Monday off. It wasn't a very nice day, so boating was out, so we took a drive into Dry Head for a picnic. It rained on us while we were up there, so we didn't stick around for too long. We ate our lunch and went for a walk. While we were on our walk, we spotted two black bears. We sat and watched them for a bit before heading home.
