This year's Lovell's Days were unlike any of the ones I had attended in the past. Due to COVID, there had to by a lot of changes. The Follies were cancelled altogether this year, which is probably our favorite part! The planning committee did a good job of trying to keep things as normal as COVID would allow.
Thursday evening, for the first time, there was a cornhole tournament. Carson's friend, Parker, was supposed to be on a team with his younger brother, but they also scheduled a baseball game for the same time, making it so that his brother couldn't play. Carson was asked to take his place. They ended up loosing both of their games, but had a good time competing. I think it might be something they would do again in the future, if it continues.

Friday, we made a trip up to Billings to watch Travis and the Colts baseball team compete in a tournament there. They played a Billings team and ended up tying with them. Because of the amount of games being played that weekend (150 games!), they had to stick to a strict time schedule and couldn't go an extra inning to see who the winner would have been. After the game was over, we ran a couple of errands and then headed home so that we could make it to town for the reverse parade.
This year instead of having the parade for Lovell's days on Saturday and there being floats, people were asked to "drag main" and the businesses would throw candy to those that drove by. It ended up taking quite a long time, but we wanted to support those that had put so much time into planning everything.

Saturday, was supposed to be the family fun activities, but we had to head up to Billings for the rest of Travis's tournament. They played a Bozeman team at 10 and lost to them. After the game, we went with the team to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch and then ran a couple more errands and headed back to catch their next game at 4. At 4:00, they played Gallatin Valley and had an awesome game. They ended up winning 10-8 against a much bigger (like 4 of the boys were bigger than Carson and could really hit the ball) team. Because our team chose not to play on Sunday, they boys were done. I'm sad that the tournament had to go into Sunday because it would have been fun to see how well they could have done!
We have a weekend off to celebrate the 4th of July and then we have two more tournaments to go before we are done...another one in Billings and another in Bozeman!
