Like most communities around here, Lovell decided to cancell their Little league baseball season this summer. I am part of the board for little league and because of all the restrictions and guidelines that we would have had to follow and to ensure everyone's safety, it was a call we had to make. With little league cancelled, we thought travel baseball for Travis would have been too, but they decided to try playing. They have been practicing every week night for about a month and have played 4 games so far winning 3 and loosing 1. They played a tough Billings team last weekend that gave them their first loss. It's been nice to have something "normal" to do, but I wasn't sad about the idea of not having any baseball this summer and getting to do a bunch of boating and camping. Oh well!

One of Travis's teammates mom is a photographer for the local newspaper and always takes pictures of the boys during their games. She takes the best photos and I love that she shares them with us. These are a few that she took over the weekend during our triangular with Sheridan and Billings.

| I LOVE this picture! Travis dove back to first in their game against Billings like 5 times before he stole second. He was dusty and dirty and did an awesome job of keeping the first baseman and the pitcher on their toes. This picture also made it into the newspaper! |
One of our friends decided to put together a little minor's league baseball so that the kids this age (8-10) had a chance to play a little ball this summer. He wasn't expecting to get very many kids out, but they ended up having like 25 come! They have been having practices every night and had a scrimmage/game to give them some game like experiences. They will continue to practice and hope to have a couple more interleague games and maybe a couple against Powell and Cody. It's been great for Landon to get to play some baseball.
