4th of July

The forecast for the 4th of July wasn't supposed to be very good. It was supposed to be chilly and rainy. When we got up, it was chilly, but we decided to chance it anyways and head to the lake. After breakfast, we loaded stuff up and headed out. We were on the lake around 11 and it ended up being a beautiful day! The clouds burned off after a bit and it warmed right up and the water was beautiful!! Around noon, grandma and grandpa Foulger, along with Megan, Jabin and Sloane, showed up and partied with us on the lake!

A storm started to roll in around 3, we decided we should head back in even though we were really enjoying the beautiful day! We got home, everyone showered and got ready and then we headed over to Cowley to Dave Rael's house for their 4th of July celebration. We had pulled pork and sides for dinner, listened to a pretty good cover band, visited with friends while our kids ran around with friends having a blast! Around 9, it started to rain, thunder and lightening pretty good, so we headed home. The boys tried to light off a couple of fireworks they got in their backpacks from Raels, but it was coming down so hard they quite after 2 and we decided to head to bed.

 This group of boys wanted a ride in the wagon but had to have an adult with them, so I was conned into going with them. It was a bumpy ride around the block!

We are sure blessed to live in this great country and to enjoy all the freedoms that we have!
