Thanksgiving weekend

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by family. The Christian, Carson and Travis got up early to head out pheasant hunting with Christian's brothers. They were able to get two birds. Carson shot at a few and even got one, but they weren't able to find it. He was pretty excited that he finally connected! Landon stayed home with me because he had a pretty good cough and wasn't feeling up to walking as far as they were going to be walking.
The boys got back around 11 and everyone finished getting ready before we headed out to grandpa and grandma Asay's house for lunch. Our Thanksgiving feast was delicious and included all of our favorite things. We hung out for a while after lunch and visited with everyone. All of Christian's family was there, which was fun! It was a beautiful day, so the kids were able to go outside and play.
We decided to do an impromptu family picture since everyone was there. It turned out so good considering we didn't plan this at all. It's so fun that we can all be together. The kids always have so much fun with their cousins!

After hanging out in the afternoon, we ran home for a bit and then headed over to Powell. We had some leftovers for dinner and enjoyed some pie before playing a game of farkle that Jason and Cassie taught us.

Friday, was the Asay traditional Preg testing day. The boys all went out early to help. I came out later after I cleaned and worked on some stuff for church. It was in the mid 50's making it a beautiful day for working cows! The kids had fun helping out and being able to be outside and enjoy the day.

Landon went around and collected all the old ear tags he could find. He was able to fill a bag full!

They had to de-horn one cow and apparently, it was a gusher. Christian had blood splatters all up his arm.
It ended up being dark when the boys got home. We had some leftovers that Grandma Foulger had given us and then everyone went to bed.

Saturday, we got up and made a quick trip over to Worland to look at a truck. When we got back, we pulled out the stuff to decorate the tree with. I love having the tree up! We spent the afternoon just hanging out. We all have various stages of a pretty nasty head cold and I was pretty miserable by late afternoon. But, we have so many things to be grateful for. I am so thankful for all the many things that I have been blessed with!
