Happenings

Carson started his first year of wrestling and has two tournaments under his belt and has really been enjoying it. I don't know if I've ever been so nervous as I have been while he's wrestling! Agh!! It's hard on this mom's stomach and heart. He went 2-2 his first tournament and did really good. The second one, they moved him up a weight class and he didn't know that they had and he didn't do as well at that tournament. Who knows what this weekend will bring!

First tournament. Only a couple of his friends are wrestling, and he's so glad that they are so he has someone to hang out with!

Travis brought one piece of paracord along with him to the first tournament to make some keychains and bracelets. He would make one, undo it, make another one, undo it, etc... I guess he thought using his tow to anchor it down was the best option.

We have had a few snow days over the past week. The first one was a really wet snow and the boys loved playing in it. When there was enough on the ground to play in, Travis wasted no time in getting out there. He was practicing his wrestling moves in the living room and didn't even take the time to change into some clothes...just went out in his wrestling singlet and muck boots!

 Pheasant season opened last weekend. Since Carson got done pretty early with his wrestling, we were able to go out and see if we could get any birds. Carson took hunter's safety last year, so he is able to hunt through a mentor program under Christian's liscense. We walked for quite a while and didn't see many birds. They were able to shoot 2. I'm sure there will be many more tries though!
