Halloween happenings

Our Halloween was busy and full of festivities! I helped at the elementary school that morning for a few hours doing BFK (books for kids). Each elelmentary kid gets to come to the library and pick out a new book and take it home with them. We had to write inside of each of them. It was fun to see the kids and be with some fun ladies! That afternoon was the elementary school costume parade. They did it across the stage this year, which was super nice! It's so much easier to see all the costumes! After the parade were the classroom parties. I got to visit both boys at theirs. The both had yummy treats and got to do some fun activities!

When school was over, we ran home and put on some long sleeves because the wind had picked up and it was getting chilly and then we did our annual Halloween photo shoot. Carson was gone to wrestling practice, so I made him do his the night before.

Travis had a hard time not smiling while he was trying to pull his Napoleon faces!

Carson was Indiana Jones for Halloween and played the part pretty well.

I think Carson's favorite part of his costume was the bullwhip had dad bought him. They spend lots of time perfecting their technique in the days before Halloween and all the boys are pretty good at getting a loud snap!

After some pictures, we made our way out to Grandpa and Grandma Asay's house to trick or treat them. After a stop there, we made our way back into town for our combined ward trunk or treat. The kids made a haul there. Carson showed up late due to wrestling practice, but still got to make his way around. (Side note: Halloween was their first dance of the year. They learned how to dance in gym and then got to put their new skills to work. He said his first dance was good and he asked one girl to dance)

Trunk or treat.

This is one of my favorites. Travis as Napoleon Dynamite and his best friend, Rocco, as Pedro. It was awesome!

Waiting for the trunk or treat to start. We decorated our car as a mouth (thank you Walmart clearance last year)

A Halloween selfie from Christian. He was dressed as a stud muffin again this year.
After the trunk or treat, we made a quick stop by Carson's old primary teacher's house to decorate a cookie and then on to visit Grandpa Monk.

After visiting them for a bit, we made our way to Powell and visited my grandparents and Jason and Cassie. It ended up being a late night, but they boys had lots of fun visiting everyone and filled a gallon bag each of candy!
