Saturday was our last full day in Hawaii. We got up that morning and went on a hike with Jason and Cassie to some pond they had discovered on a previous day. It was a 2 mile hike that had some pretty good hills. Once you got to the top, there was a little pond that was full of fish and ducks. Jason brought along some croissants to feed them with. The funnest part was watching one bird wait patiently for a bunch of little fish to come feed on the bread and then it would sneak in and pluck out the little fish. We watched it catch 4 little fish before we ran out of bread to draw the fish in with.

| Part of the hike was through a large tunnel. |
 |
| The boys along the way. It was fun to see all the different kinds of vegetation on our hike. Landon even tried to hang from a vine, but it wasn't strong enough. |

| Landon plugging along. He was quite the trooper. He had a pretty bad cough making it kind of hard to breath and hadn't eaten anything |
After our hike, we headed to Slappy Cakes (a pancake place) for breakfast. We were anticipating being on our hike for as long we were, so no one had eaten breakfast before we left, which made for some hungry people. We ate our breakfasts and then went back to the resort and hung out at the pool until it was time to head to a luncheon that was put on AFS. After eating lunch, we headed down to the beach by our resort with some boogie boards and spent the rest of the afternoon down there soaking up as much sunshine as we could! The waves were a lot more intense on this afternoon, so they boys were able to catch some good waves.
They also built some good sandcastles.

| Travis thought he would try to surf on his boogie board. It didn't quite go as he had planned. |
 |
| Right next to where we were sitting, someone had dug a huge hole and made some sand castles. When Landon would jump into it, it was deep enough that you couldn't see him! |

| Enjoying the beach my hubby. |
Around 5, we went back and got ready and headed to a really good Hawaiian bbq place just down the road from us. Christian wasn't feeling well, so he didn't go. We actually cleaned the restaurant out of their ribs so that they had to put a sign on the door saying they were sold out of ribs for the night...oops! After dinner, we went to Jason and Cassie's room (they won a suite for signing up early) to play cards...something else Carson had been wanting to do every night but we were always too tired to stay up late and play. Christian stayed back with Landon who wasn't feeling well either (he'd developed a yucky cold like the second day we were there). We played two rounds of cards before calling it a night.

What fun! My kids would have loved feeding the ducks!
