On Wednesday, we caught a shuttle from our resort to a different beach not far from where we were staying. This beach was supposed to be good for snorkeling, so the boys were super excited. Snorkeling was the one thing that Carson really wanted to do while we were in Hawaii.
Before we left for the beach, the boys discovered a lizard on the wall above our patio door. Christian lifted Landon up so that he could catch it. He carried it around with him until the little lizard decided to bite him. It didn't hurt him...just surprised him, I think!
Carson was the first one out in the water with his snorkel gear. He got out to show us some coral and shells he had found while in there and to tell us about the fish he saw when I noticed a big gash in his leg. He had been swimming over some lava rock and apparently cut his leg while he was swimming and didn't notice unitl he got out of the water and blood was running down his leg! We went up to the lifeguard station to see if they had any first aid stuff. They gave us some bandaids and once we got the bleeding to stop, we bandaged him up. He sat out for a while, but ultimately couldn't stand it any longer and got back in. Looking back, we probably should have taken him in for stitches, but it's healing really well.

Landon really wanted to snorkel, but was scared to try. Christian took him out and held on to him so that he felt safe. He LOVED that he could see fish under the water. He saw some Dory fish that he was excited about.

| Travis snorkeling. The kids were able to see quite a few fish while they snorkeled here. |
There was a sea turtle sighted while we were on the beach chilling, so everyone with snorkel gear decided to head out and see if they could find it. Lucky for them, they were able to find it and followed it around for quite a while.

That evening, a group of us ran to a grocery store to get a few supplies. We got some butterfly bandages, Neosporin, and bandaids to keep Carson's wound clean. Christian stayed at the resort with the boys and they went around exploring. They sat and watched the waves hit the lava rocks and walked around the resort.
