What else could go wrong?

Actually, I really don't want to find out what else could go wrong! We have had quite the adventure over the last month. First, our oven went out on us, so I had to get creative with dinners and such. We had it looked at and found that our heating element had gone out. After about a week of no oven, we got it fixed and it's been working like a champ ever since.

Thanksgiving weekend, we came home to a not so warm house after being gone all day spending time with family. We had a friend come over that night and try to fix it, but he wasn't able to. Saturday, we got a hold of the guy that works for the gas company and had him come take a look at it. He found out what the problem was and tried to get ahold of a heating guy in Powell to see if they had the parts needed, but no one would ever answer. So, he showed us what parts we would need on amazon, got them ordered. Four days later, and lots of little heaters plugged in, we got our parts and got it all fixed. This made us really think about getting an alternate heat source in our house in case something like this ever happens again!

Skip over to last Tuesday. My mom and I were baking Christmas candy and I commented that my fridge was making a weird noise. My mom says to me, "wouldn't it be bad if it stopped working!" Well, I woke up the next morning and went to pull out some frozen waffles for the boys to have for breakfast, to find them totally thawed! Some time in the night, the freezer and fridge stopped working. (Wednesday) I called a repair man (the same one that fixed our stove) and had him come check it out. Come to find out our compressor had gone out. Nice! He checked out the price for a new one and it was going to be $650. We decided that since it was 13 years old, we would just buy a new one for not that much more than if we fixed it. We planned to look at them the next day when we were in Billings.

Thursday, Christian and I had made plans to go up to Billings over night so we could go to the temple, finish our Christmas shopping, and now find a new fridge. We planned to leave around 1 when my mom got there. At 10:30, I got a call from the school saying Carson had thrown up and needed someone to come get him. Not how I had planned the day to go! I went and picked him up and it sounds like he just drank too much water too fast ( I let him take a water bottle to school that day for the first time) and it made him feel queasy resulting in him puking! I called my mom and told her what had happened, but she was still willing to come and stay the night with them. Turns out, Carson was totally fine the rest of the day/night, so it must have really been the water!

Friday was great and without incident.

Saturday, we got up and were getting ready to make some breakfast, when Landon came in and his body was covered with little red blister like bumps. The worst of it was on the back of his arms and his back. We decided to take him to the clinic to get it checked out and make sure it wasn't something contagious. Come to find out, he has chicken pox! He is vaccinated, so we aren't sure how or where he got it! So, now he is quarantined to the house until it clears up. He doesn't have a fever and is actually really chipper and happy...just itchy and covered with spots! They gave him some medicine and now we are hoping he gets over it fast!

Sunday...as if it couldn't get any worse! I was awaken in the night by Carson who had just puked. I got him all squared away and back in bed. A few hours later, Travis comes in with stomach pain. He runs to the bathroom and sits in there for quite a while with diarrhea and dry heaving!
This was the sight in our living room. Two with buckets and one snuggled up!

Sorry about all the complaining! But it's been crazy and I thought I would document it all for the future!
