Christmas Day 2015

We had a wonderful Christmas this year and must have extra good because we were spoiled rotten. Santa found our house and the boys were super excited about all the things they got. This year since the two older boys are now down stairs, we had to make a plan as to when they could get up so that everyone saw it all at the same time. So, we planned the night before that they had to sleep in until atleast 7 and then when they were both awake, to yell upstairs for us and we would come and get them. Well, we didn't get a yell from the basement until 7:45. Landon must have heard them too, but because he was awake shortly after that!

Landon got a real bull shoot and was so excited. Actually, Travis had asked for one too and when he came up stairs, shouted "Yes, my bull shoot!" We had to point out that the shoot was by Landon's stuff, but he was good with it knowing that someone got one!

Landon got a bouncy bull to go with his bull shoot. He and Travis have had lots of fun with them!

Landon got Travis the bulldog hat he had been eyeing all football season. He was never willing to part with the $20 to buy it on his own though!

Carson had asked for a drone for Christmas and was super surprised to get one! I loved his reaction!

Christmas aftermath!

The boys have had TONS of fun playing with the bull shoot. They switch between riding bulls and horses to preg. testing cows and it's even been a jail for bad guys! Best gift ever!

Immediately after we were done opening gifts, the boys got busy putting their legos together. Carson got his built and then helped Landon with his.

After gifts, we had some breakfast, got ready and then headed out to Grandpa and Grandma Asay's house to hang out. They got to open their gifts when grandpa got done with feeding the cows. They each got a sweatshirt, the two older boys got legos, Carson got a slick scarf, Travis got a sled and Landon got a remote control car. We hung out until around 2 when they were getting ready to eat and then we made our way over to Powell for the evening.

The kids helped grandpa Asay peel/seed some pomegranates for a salad. I'm sure if Grandpa had done it himself, there would have been twice as many pomegranates!

Once we got to Grandpa and Grandma's house, we hung out until Jason and Cassie showed up. The boys handed out the gifts to everyone and then we opened them up.

He was pretty excited about his new wheel barrow (the one he got a couple of years ago fell apart shortly after he got it)

Landon loved his new football pads, jersey and helmet! He put them on as soon as he opened it and didn't take them off until we had to leave. He's happy to have some now so that he can play with the big boys!

Christian got a much wanted gun for Christmas. Every time we went into Scheels he would have to go and check it out and play with it. Now his dreaming is over!

Carson was excited to get a camel pack type backpack to take with him to Jackson and on the 5th grade campout next year.

After presents, we ate a ham dinner, cleaned up and then played a game of loaded questions. It brought some good laughs and lots of making fun of each other!

The day after Christmas was a Saturday and we were happy to have a down day to enjoy all our Christmas loot. Once Christian received his gun, he was making plans to go out and shoot it. He went out for a few hours with Ryan Mangus and got one pheasant.

Carson and Christian took out Carson's drone in the afternoon and tried it out. He's still working on mastering all the controls but it looks like it will be super fun to have. They want to take it up to Dry Head this summer and use it!

We are so thankful for the Christmas season so that we can celebrate the birth of our Savior and to spend time with our families!
