It's (finally) finished!

We finally finished our basement a few weeks ago and we have been LOVING it! Travis could hardly wait and was the first one moved down. He was moving stuff into his new room as soon as he got home from school that day the carpet was finished. We have loved having so much room (we doubled the size of our living space by finished it)! I'm still working on the decorating, but it's coming slowly! There is still a little touching up to do on the trim and a few dings in the paint that need to be repaired, but we'll get to those.

Another view of the family room. Christian got to splurge and put in surround sound and got a big ol' tv. We have had some fun movie nights!

The landing are from the stairs. The door on the left leads to the utility room and has some storage. The door on the right leads to under the stairs. We decided to make this our audio area and have all the surround sound/tv equipment in there. It's all run through an infrared sensor that is on our tv.

Carson put these together just how he wanted them and then we put them up on his wall. I'd say he did a really good job.

The "wasted space" as Christian like to refer to this area by the rooms.

The laundry room. This area is the only area that's not quite done. We are still in the process of deciding just exactly what kind of cabinets we want in here. We are planning to do some above the washer and dryer, a tall cabinet behind the door and the wall directly across from the washer and dryer will have hanging cabinets and floor cabinets with counter top. This gets to become my craft room (and is my splurge) with lots of storage for all my crafting supplies! I'm so excited!

These doors are for the big "A" (insert bad word in place of a) closet. We are working on putting up the shelves that will be inside of it. I'm excited to have so much storage space.
