Fourth of July!

We had an awesome Independence Day this year. We headed out to the lake around 11 to enjoy the sunshine. We met Grandma Asay at the turn off and brought her with us. Carson skied first thing, followed by Christian and then we stopped and had lunch and let the boys jump off the boat and play in the water.

Our first stop in the water was to get Carson ready to ski. While he was getting his skis on, Grandma Asay spotted a Bald Eagle sitting atop of the hill. It was a cool sight...especially on the 4th of July!

We came back by with Carson and the Eagle had just taken off.

About an hour later, Grandpa and Grandma Foulger met up with us in their boat. We took the boys around on the tube and then hooked up our boats together so we could all hang out together. The boys had a blast being able to just play in the water and jump back and forth between the two boats. After sitting for a while enjoying each other's company and the nice day, Christian decided to try out his new wide slalom ski that he decided to call Fat Amy. He got up on his second try! He's tried in the past to get up on one ski, but just couldn't do it..until this year! I took a turn on the new ski  after he was done. The highlight of the day was that Travis gave skiing a try again and DID IT! He got up his first try and continued to try a few more times after that! It was nice to have another boat around to pick Christian up from the water after Travis was up and going.

After we had sat for a while and did all the skiing we wanted, we decided to take a drive up the canyon. The water was beautiful up there and we were wishing we had gone up there earlier for some nicer water!

We got off the lake around 4:30, showered and then headed over to Powell to have dinner with Grandpa and Grandma Foulger and Jason and Cassie. We shot off some fireworks and enjoyed the nice evening!

 

Carson got to fire off quite a few fireworks this year under the supervision of Uncle Jason and his Dad.
