Water Fight

Yesterday, we had a summer kick off party at our house. Carson and Travis each got to invite 3 friends to come over and have a water fight at our house. We started out with lunch and then played some games and then let them run wild with water balloons and squirt guns. It was a perfect day and the kids had some so much fun playing and getting wet!
Our lunch. We had pigs in a blanket, watermelon, veggies and dip, chips and drinks.

Carson and his friend, Jacob.

Landon, Rocco, Travis and Wilson.

Hugh, Owen, Carson and Jacob.
We started out with a game where the boys had to shoot water at a target to see if they could hit the bullseye.

Next, the boys threw water bombs through a ladder to see how many points they could get.

After that, we set up empty pop cans and gave them a chance to try and shoot them down.
Landon's turn.

After those games, we pulled out the water balloons and had a couple games of water balloon tosses.

Next they tried to see who could pop the water balloon the fastest between their legs.
For the last hour of the party, they boys threw water balloons and when they were gone, they used their squirt guns. We set up hiding spots for the boys to hide behind and squirt from.

We set up 3 filling stations on the side walk for the boys to fill up their guns with.

Landon pretty much thought he was one of the big guys and had so much fun playing with his brother's friends.

This picture cracks me up! Landon has the greatest facial expressions!

There was a lot of strategizing during the water fight.

Towards the end of the party, we had some popsicles and laid on the deck to try and allow the boys to dry off before their moms had to come get them.
Fun bunch of kids: Owen W., Wilson H., Landon, Jacob B., Carson, Hugh C., Travis and Rocco R.

We've been watching lots of baseball. We only have a few weeks left and we will be excited to have our evenings back!

Just some other recent pics.
There was a time out for a bit the other night and Carson decided it would be a good time to take a seat.

We made a deal with Carson this trimester that if he got straight A's, then he and I would go on a date to Blimpies and get a sandwich. He worked hard and earned all A's. Two days The day after he got his report card, we went on a date together. It was fun to spend some one on one time with him!
