Travis' Special day

Today was Travis' special day at school. Landon, Christian, Grandma Asay and I got to enjoy a 20 minute presentation all about Travis. He started by going through his all about me poster. It included information like his favorite color, food, thing to do at home, interesting facts and such. Next, I read a paper that Christian and I wrote about what why we think Travis is special, followed by Mrs. Bush's reasons why she thinks Travis is special.
Waiting to begin his presentation.

Going through his poster

After I read why Travis is special.

Why Mrs. Bush thinks Travis is special.
Travis then got to show some of his things that are special to him. He brought his wooden sword we brought him back from Costa Rica, his leap pad, wrestling head gear and medal, and his Kid Bopz cd he loves to listen to.

After his little show and tell, each class member told one thing they thought why Travis was special.
One of his classmates telling us that Travis is special because he taught her how to play basketball when she didn't know how to.
Next, Travis got to read about his adventures with the classroom bunny that he got to have over the weekend. They were supposed to do something fun with the bunny and then write about it and draw a picture. Travis took a nap with the bunny (we disinfected it after finding out that he had strep) and then took it out to grandpa and grandma Asay's house to meet the baby goats.
Reading his journal entry to his class.
Mrs. Bush gave him some bubbles and a star sucker for being special!

With Grandma Asay after his presentation.

Also as part of his special day, he got to bring a special treat to share with the class. He wanted to bring oreos and milk, so his class got to enjoy them for treats later in the day! Travis, you sure are a special dude and we love you and are so glad that you are part of our family!
