Today, Carson had his consultation with Dr. Grosso, a plastic surgeon, in Billings. We have decided to have his birthmark removed this summer and this was the first step. The Dr. was super nice and said he felt like the surgery would take about and hour and that they would probably be able to remove everything in one appointment. So, Carson is scheduled for surgery June 25th to have his birthmark removed. I think he is excited to have it gone, but nervous to have surgery. It sounds like the recovery time will be minimal and won't interfere with his sports and summer activities hardly at all (minus waiting for some glue to wear off so that he can swim). Who would have thought that my 9 year old would be the one to have plastic surgery?

Yay!! That is exciting. He will do so well and he'll look fabulous afterward ;)
