Dry Head Adventures!

Yesterday, we got to help grandpa Asay move cows up to Dry Head for the summer. The guys left at 5:30 to get a head start. The rest of us jumped in Daniel's truck and our suburban and headed up. We dropped our car off at the corrals and grabbed the other truck to drive instead. One truck pulled the horse trailer and the other hauled the 4-wheelers. It was actually a pretty cool day and sprinkled rain on us a few times, but the boys were troopers and kept on trucking!

 Because of so much moisture over the winter, spring and summer, we only had to take the cows to the lower pond area because there was actually enough water in the pond there to last the cows for a bit. It had been several years since they have been able to use that pasture. Once the cows were there, we built a nice fire and cooked hamburgers and hot dogs for lunch and visited. We were glad that's as far as we went because we had dark rain clouds chasing us all day and just as we loaded up to leave, it started to down pour. It made for some slick roads driving out but at least they weren't having to ride in it! We were home early afternoon and had good intentions of going to watch the fireworks out at the lake, but we weren't sure if it was going to continue to be nice weather or not so we wimped out and decided to rent a movie and go to bed early instead!
