Crane hunting

After a few years of putting in for a crane tag, Christian was finally able to draw one. They went out a couple of times to try and snag one, but they quickly found out that cranes are harder to hunt than they originally thought they would be. It wasn't until they were hunting geese with friends, Greg and Rocco, that Christian was able to shoot one. The cranes were flying in to the geese decoys and he was able to get a good shot on one. They are a massive bird! Christian kept the breasts to cook up. He's heard that they are called the Ribeye of the sky.

Christian ended up grilling it like a steak and we all had some. We were all pretty disappointed that it didn't taste like a ribeye. It was not very good...Christian said it tasted like liver (I've never had liver, so I wouldn't know...I just knew I didn't like it).
