Bringing Cows home
Bringing cows home Dry Head is always quite the process and this year proved to be a hard one. Christian went in Friday to help gather and begin to bring them out. We had received snow earlier in the week and about half way in, they discovered that they weren't going to be able to drive in to gather the cows. So, they came out in hopes of finding some snowmobiles to take in. They weren't able to find any, so the decided that on Saturday, they would take 4-wheelers and horses in and ride them into Snell's place instead of driving it. Christian, Travis and Landon all went in to help. Carson had a football thing, so he wasn't able to go help. It was a long, cold day, but they were able to get them rounded up and heading out. Travis said that in some spots, the snow was up to his horse, Shorty's belly!
Sunday, Travis and Carson went with Chrstian in for the 2nd day of trailing. Landon stayed home to go to church so he could practice for his primary program. There was not snow most of the way, but still cold!
Monday, Christian helped by standing in gates, but the cows got home and are lots happier!
