Randoms...

We have been crazy busy with life, but it's always fun to have a record of some of the small things that have been happening in our lives!

Our garden did amazing this year! This is the best my garden has ever done! Everything produced so well this year, which meant lots of canning! One of my favorite things are our pumpkins. We had some fun ones this year.

We had an unexpected great sweet corn sales year. We've had a tough couple of years with the sweet corn patch due to weather and racoons, so we didn't plan on selling any sweet corn this year (and we only bought half as much as we usually do). We ended up having several people call us and ask for large quantities of corn to freeze. The boys were busy picking and delivering and were able to make a good amount of money this summer to put towards their missions!

While canning tomatoes one day, I managed to melt the bottom of my microwave! I was so mad!! It now looks like we have a handle on the bottom of our door! But, we now have 28 quarts of tomatoes to use!!

We have had lots of creepy crawlies around, especially now that it was cooled down at night. Landon managed to catch a handful of dragonflies and keep them on his fingers. He had apparently pulled off a let on each one and that's how they stayed on his fingers.

Travis has been taking an online hunter safety course. He's almost done with it in hopes he can get a deer this fall!

We spent an evening freezing corn with the Asay clan. We were able to get around 130 quart bags filled and ready to use this winter.

Landon has been practicing his sacrament cup stacking during our hour at church (I know...not very reverent). He was finally able to get his and mine stacked without falling over.

The day has come that the adults will now by shorter than Carson. He and Christian are the same height right now, but at the rate Carson's going, it'll be just a matter of time before he's taller!

Christian has taken up grouse hunting and got some nice ones.
