Carson's middle school wrestling came to an end last weekend when they traveled to Thermop for their conference meet.
Carson had a great year. He wrestled all meets in the 126 A bracket and did well. He placed 4th twice and 3rd in Riverton at the biggest meet of the season. There were 13 kids in his bracket that weekend! He wrestled amazing that day and it was so fun to watch!

The week before Thanksgiving, Carson's coach asked him if he wanted to drop down to the 120 weight bracket to wrestle because he thought it would be a good fit for him. He worked hard for 2 weeks to make 120 pounds-the last 1.5 pounds were really hard for him to shake. He weighed in at Conference at 119.8...barely squeaking by! He lost his first match, pinned his guy the second match (he actually had the 10th fastest pin out of the 300+ matches that day), and then lost his third match (which he shouldn't have). We wished he could have stayed at 126 to wrestle kids he was familiar with. I think he would have taken 2nd or 3rd in that bracket, but oh well! I'm proud of him for doing something hard by loosing those few pounds even though his season didn't end how he would have liked. He did come home with a pretty good shiner from an elbow!

| The Lovell team. This is the biggest team they have had in a really long time and they were a great team! It was fun to build relationships with the other wrestling families! We hope the wrestling programs continue to grow!! |
