Christmas Break

The boys's Christmas break came to and end today. I think they were starting to get bored and were ready to go back. Here is a little of what we did during the break.

We were sick...which meant we really didn't got out and do very much during the break. Travis was sick for a couple of days before Christmas and then Landon got started getting sick Christmas night. They both had fevers, body aches and threw up. Landon's lasted the longest and he didn't move from the basement for a few days. Two of the days he spent curled up on the chair all day. We were happy when he finally started feeling better.
Sick Landon taking a nap on the floor while he was sick.
Travis has been interested in seeing what it was like to coyote hunt for quite a while. I kept telling him he needed to talk to my cousin Aryn's husband, Josh (who does a fair amount of coyote hunting), and ask him if he would be willing to take him out. One Sunday they were talking pheasant hunting with Josh, and I brought up that Travis was really interested in coyote hunting. He told the boys that he would take them out some time during the break so they could see how it all works. Last Friday, the coyote hunt was on. They went out for a couple of hours and did three sets. On the second one, they were able to call in a coyote, but Josh missed his shots and they didn't end up getting one. He was pretty bummed they didn't get one (he really wanted them to get to experience that), but they LOVED every minute of going with him. They talked about it the rest of the day!

New Year's Eve we ate dinner out at Grandma Asay's house and then partied at the Shumway's with a group of friends. We visited, ate, played games and rang in the New Year!

Our whole group.
The ladies: Lauren S. Jill Allen, Nicole H., Natalie W. Makenzea G. and me.

New Year's Eve I made up a batch of Oliebollen to set up over night. New Year's day, we fried them up for breakfast.

New Year's is also Christian's birthday. We were pretty lazy during the day and stayed in our pj's. We went out to Matthew and Charlene's for burgers and corn hole in the evening to celebrate.

The 2nd was our 15 wedding anniversary. The boys and I finally made it Cody to do a little shopping (we had tried to go to Billings 3 times during the break but were sick for one of them and the roads were nasty the other two times). Landon used his Walmart gift card that he got for Christmas from Grandpa and Grandma Foulger to buy a fish tank and three fish.
Happy little fishies and boy

To celebrate, we went out to dinner and Christian surprised me with a new ring! It's so sparkly and I love it!

This picture doesn't due it justice
