This last week was full of wrestling for this family. Travis and Landon have been participating in the Pups wrestling camp for the last two weeks. They finished off their camp with a little "tournament". Each kid got to wrestle twice. They didn't keep score...and everyone was a winner. Both Travis and Landon did a great job (and pinned all of their guys...)! I was especially impressed by Landon. He did such a great job and improved a ton from last year. I guess having two older brothers that always want to wrestle pays off! Travis took it pretty serious, as usual. He didn't really have anyone his same weight or skill level, but he wrestled good. The first kid he wrestled outweighed him by like 15 pounds. What's funny is the kid told Travis earlier in the day that his strategy to try and beat Travis was going to be to just lay on him (since he was so much bigger). It worked at first, but Travis hates not winning and is a better wrestler and you could see a flip switch and he meant business and it didn't take long for him to have him pinned.
Carson is about half way through his wrestling season. This has been a tough year for Carson (he hasn't won a match yet). He's been in the 120 bracket weighing right about 112 pounds and it's a tough bracket. There are about 5 super good kids in that bracket that have matured quite a bit more than him and are 8th graders. This last weekend they wrestled in Greybull and they actually had a 115 bracket and it was so much better. One thing I love about Carson is he is always positive. He hates that he looses, but he never gets down on himself and always does his best and I love that about him!
