Easter Weekend

We had a great Easter vacation and managed to fill all our days off. The kids got out a half day on Wednesday. We busied our selves with scouts, a birthday party and young womens that night. Thursday, we made a trip up to Billings with Grandma Foulger. The main reason for our trip was to find some clothes for Carson to use this summer when he goes on his Pioneer Trek.

Carson chose to eat at Red Robin and it was tasty!

Friday, we went and worked out, dyed Easter eggs, went to the pool for open swim and then went and saw Peter Rabbit at the theatre.

Their colored eggs...

Waiting for their 5 minute brake to get over.

Saturday, we left bright and early to head to Worland for Travis's wrestling tournament. He had a pretty good day, (despite throwing up again because of nerves...at least this time it wasn't in front of the whole crowd), taking home  a 4th place medal.

Sunday was Easter and Conference. I love when they occur on the same day!  The boys woke up and looked hard for their Easter baskets.
I loved all the talks that were given during Conference and the new announcements that were given. We sustained our new prophet, President Nelson, in a solemn assembly along with two new apostles. Other new changes are that there will only be an Elder's quorum meeting on Sundays that the Elders and High Priests will attend. President Nelson also announced 7 new temples to be built and that there will no longer be visitng and home teaching but the program will be changed to ministering where we are to pray and ask for those that we can minister to. It will be interesting to see the new changes take place! I am so thankful for my Savior and for the miracle of the resurrection. I know that he lives!
After conference, we headed to Powell for Easter dinner with Grandpa and Grandma Foulger and Jason and Cassie. Grandpa got the boys good when he asked them if they wanted to do an Easter Egg hunt outside...when they never found any, they finally figured out that he had tricked them on April's Fools Day! Luckily for them, Grandma did have some eggs for them and hid them in the house while they were outside looking for the "eggs" that grandpa Foulger had hid. Travis was the first to catch on that he was teasing them!

Although we didn't attend church on Easter, I still go the boys Easter ties and they wore them the week before. Man did they look sharp!

Some other side notes from recently...
Travis got a remote control boat from Grandpa and grandma Foulger for Christmas and for the last two weeks, he been going down to the pond almost daily to see if the ice had melted off of it so he could drive it. Finally, this last week, all the ice was gone and he was able to put it out in the water and drive it. It's a fun little boat...he's been loving it. He also got a minnow trap and has been putting it out daily and going down to see what he has caught. He's caught several suckers, a bunch of minnows and several crawdads...

With all the minnow trapping, there have been some interesting items in the wash lately. After doing one load of Landon's laundry, I found a dime, bullet casing and a crawdad claw...oh the things you find in the washer in a house full of boys!

  1. So what do you do with all your hard boiled eggs? I would love to do more but seem to not know what to do with them before we tire out of them. Plus your boys are getting so big!! I can't imagine finding a crawdad claw in the wash!
