Randoms

January has been a buys month in the Asay household. I make 3 and 4 trips into town some nights picking and taking kids to their various activities. Landon and Travis have been participating in the pups wrestling camp three days a week. Travis started USA wrestling as well and when he doesn't have pups practice, he has USA practice. He's super excited that he is getting to do it this year. We made a deal with him that he could do it if he was willing to work to help "pay" for it. He's been doing lots of extra chores around the house and has been loving his practices. His first tournament isn't until the end of February, so he has lots more practices to go.

Carson, on the other hand, has been playing basketball. This is his first experience with basketball and he has really enjoyed it! He never wanted to do rec basketball, and we never forced him to do it. I think he's wishing now that he had just so he would have had a little more exposure. They had their first game this week (he, along with the majority of the other 6th graders, are on the 7th grade C team) and made two free throws, but only one counted because the stepped on the line. 

Christian finally put together his clay pigeon thrower he got for Christmas a couple of years ago and we took it out in the hills to use it. It was fun to have an automatic thrower!

 It's pinewood derby car time and Travis and Christian have been working hard to get Travis's done before we have to leave out of town. He knew exactly how he wanted it cut and the color. It will be fun to see it when it's all done!
