Asay 3 on 3

So, what stared out as a joke about who would win a basketball game amongst the Asay boys, turned into a real game! What's funny about this is that none of Christian or his brothers played basketball passed middle school. They all wrestled in high school and were good at it. There was a whole lot of trash talking between the two teams (Christian, Daniel and Michael against Matthew, Jared and Jacob) all week leading up to the game. They decided to play on a Friday night (so they would have the weekend to recover before work on Monday) and the loosing team had to take the winners out to dinner. Christian was pretty excited about the game and got some jerseys lined out to wear and bought some headbands (all as a joke)!

They decided to play four 5 minute running quarters so no one would die from lack of exercise! Jan, did the jump ball at the start and they game began. There was a lot of huffing and puffing and there were some pretty good shots, and it was super entertaining (especially since none of them had good tennis shoes and slid everywhere!) The final score ended up being 7-9 (after 20 minutes of playing), Jared, Jacob and Matthew being the winners! After the game, all 6 of them went out to dinner at the Branding Iron.

It was sure fun to watch and the guys had a good time. I'm thinking this might have to be a yearly tradition!
